ABOUT PISTON
Piston is one of the important components of the combustion chamber of the diesel engine. The piston, the cylinder head and the cylinder liner constitute the combustion chamber of the diesel engine, which bears the force of the gas and transmits it to the crankshaft through the piston pin and the side rod, so that the crankshaft rotates and outputs power.
MATERIAL:
In YANGMART, the most widely used piston materials are Cast iron and Aluminum alloy (which followed by the Japanese Industrial standards AC8A & AC8C).
STRUCTURE:
- PISTON HEAD: The top of the piston, the cylinder head and the cylinder liner form a combustion chamber, and the top of the piston head of a diesel engine is mostly concave. The head shape is varied by different models of diesel engines. When replacing the piston, the same shape, same size of the cumbustion center and weight must be selected. In YANGMART, we make the piston head strictly followed by the original measurement.
- RING GROOVE: The upper part is generally used to install the compression ring, and the lower ring groove is used to install the oil ring. According to the original design, an Alfin ring is also carefully insert in order to increase engine and piston life. In Yangmart, the Alfin material is strictly selected in order to acheive the highest level of binding. The design of Oil Cooling Gallery is significantly improves the cooling of the first piston ring as well as the combustion chamber.
- PISTON SKIRT: The skirt of the piston is in direct contact with the cylinder wall and guides the movement of the piston. It is also common to design coatings on the Piston Skirt, we are able to supply: Graphite Coating, Tin Coating, Phosphate Coating, Mos2 coating & Nitride coating (for Cast Iron piston). Besides, we also produce Anodized coating on the crown.
